On HOMInG’s seminar 52_21, last April, Stefania Yapo presented the preliminary findings of a study of migrants’ transnational housing investments, related to a particular family house in Ecuador. This building lies at the core of a ‘house story’ that coalesces questions of cross-border mobility, family caregiving, material culture, memory-making and intergenerational wealth transmission.
