HOMInG @ MALMO – MIM CONFERENCE ON REFUGEES, BORDERS AND MEMBERSHIP

HOMInG’s Paolo Boccagni and Aurora Massa will participate in an international conference convened by MIM at Malmo University next October 24-26. This is a large international conference on Refugees, Borders and Membership. 
Paolo Boccagni will contribute to a workshop on Shelter, Housing, Home – Governance and Everyday Encounters Among Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Other Displaced Groups in Europe, convened by Erica Righard and Klara Oberg. His presentation will be on Reception facilities as home like spaces? Prospects for beautification and horizons of homemaking in refugee housing. 
Aurora Massa will present in a workshop on Border and Reception Systems in Italy, convened by Daniela Debono and Katie Kuschminder. Her presentation, coauthored with Milena Belloni, will be on  Shifting the dwelling, shifting the country: Eritreans’ housing and mobility strategies in Rome.
