Last October, Andrea Mubi Brighenti (University of Trento) gave a fascinating HOMInG seminar on Urban thresholds and modes of domestication. In his speech, Andrea provides a theoretically rich and historically sensitive account of thresholds. He effectively shows how the ways in which thresholds are conceived, enacted and negotiated is central to the study of homemaking, and to the geographies and patterns of power associated with it.
